Raw Pie

I made this and it was so easy. The hardest part was figuring out how in the world to cut the mangos. I will need to google it next time to find out. Anyways my girls LOVED it and begged for seconds. I will be making this again!

Raw Pie

Crust

1 1/2 cup of your favorite nuts (I've used cashews.
3/4 cup dates
1 tbsp of honey or agave
pinch of salt

Put in food processor until all ground up and fine. Put in pie pan, press it all down with hands, put in freezer until next step.

Filling-

4 mango's
2/3 cup coconut oil (melted)

Put in blender until creamy. Pour filling over crust. Stick in freezer until firm. Then eat!

I've also made this using banana. You can use whatever fruit you want.

You could also just make the filling, put it in your freezer and eat as an ice cream or put in your fridge and eat as pudding. There is so much you can do with this simple recipe:)

Another Good Food Box Order... Now what???

Do you ever order the Good Food Box and think "what in the heck am I going to do with this?" I know I do and sometimes I just throw it out right then and there because I know it will just go bad and sometimes I wait for it to go bad and THEN I throw it out.

So I thought that it would be fun to post different recipes that we make with ingredients from the Good Food Box.  Whether it is an ordinary everyday recipe or something that is not so ordinary. What a great way to get some new ideas and not make the same old thing for dinner all the time. Please feel free to submit recipes to me and I will get them onto the blog.

 MCKENNA CHRISTMAS PARTY
What a GREAT turnout it was for our Christmas party this year! There was lots of food, cookie decorating and crafts. The youth bus came which ALL of the kids seemed to LOVE! We were also welcomed a special visitor straight from the NORTH POLE!!

What a great night it was! I cant wait for our next fun Event!!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year EVERYONE!

Good Food Box

The Good Food Box is up and running again for 2011!! Our numbers continue to grow every month in the amount of orders that are going in from the complex. I am excited to see this program pick up even more!
We have decided instead of having all orders delivered to my house we will now have them delivered to the resource center Unit #229. I feel that this will make the Good Food Box that much more convenient for everyone
If you would like to order every single month you may let me know in advance and I will call you within a week of the order date to remind you of payment.
Please see the list below for the order dates. All orders are done on a tuesday and payment is due in full by noon.
